What About Us

Breaking Dawn Part 2 – Premiere

As usual! The second I post a news item about the girls not doing anything, BAM they come out of hiding and appear!

Last night Mollie, Frankie and Vanessa attended the premiere of the new (and final) movie in the Twilight series – Breaking Dawn, Part 2. The girls hit the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square alongside the stars of the movie Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

It’s all so quiet …

Seems since @TheSaturdays have come back from LA they’ve all gone a bit quiet on us. Rochelle keeps talking up children and babies with Marvin, so is another little-un on the way at some point? Might really throw out their US plans if they are planning to start a family as you can’t travel after a certain period of time! Anyway its all pure speculation at this moment in time, but I’d imagine at some point we will have mini-humes’ running around with the Fodens – The Saturdays extended family continues to expand!

Various ‘extended’ mixes of What About Us has appeared online, obviously out of respect for the group and everyone involved we won’t post anything until something official appears! With a January 2013 date pencilled in for release and with it being the 14th November today they will need to start getting a wiggle on. For example music videos usually premiere 6 weeks before their release so we are closing in on that period now .. I guess time will tell.

Hopefully this is really just the calm before the storm and that we don’t have that much longer to wait!

Welcome Home girls!

It’s been three exhausting months for the girls, despite a brief trip home in the middle, as the girls finally pack up and leave LA to return home to the UK after filming – and recording songs – for their attack on the US charts in the new year. The girls have been tweeting their messages about coming home, plus it seems Mollie over packed a bit! But either way we are very happy to see the girls return home to the UK and to start gearing up for the single release of ‘What About Us’ in the new year and the album to follow afterwards 🙂

Welcome home girls! 🙂

News Roundup – 6th November 2012

Hey TeamSats! I know its been a while since the last update, as a lot of you know I work at a school so last week was half-term so I was enjoying a nice break from the madness, but all is back today and I come with an update!

The main news stories over the last few days is that the girls are flying back to the UK this week – tomorrow I believe – so the current part of the US adventure seems to be over. The girls have been busy recording the last few days and have completed the photo shoot for the new album. This is all very exciting, but I’m sure they still have a bit of work left to do in the UK finishing off any recording that they have done with their UK production teams. A few major Christmas Shows are starting to be announced and the girls haven’t been mentioned to appear at any of them yet, so it’s (sadly) looking increasingly likely that we won’t get any true promo of the new single until January either, but if it is out in January like the girls keep saying fingers crossed for the music video this side of Christmas!

The girls have obviously been out and about the last few days too, our gallery has been updated with the latest pictures in HQ so you can view some of the recent events there, including dressing up as Devils at the Maroon 5 halloween party, shopping in Beverly Hills and Performing their debut US concert at the Roxy. You can see more HQ, unaltered pictures in our gallery. Link at the top!

The Saturdays land E! reality TV series

The Saturdays today announced they will be starring in the all new E! series Chasing The Saturdays. The show will be premiering in the US at 10pm on January 20th with a UK premiere currently in the works.

Mollie, Una, Rochelle, Vanessa and Frankie have had an incredible run of success in the UK. They have had eleven top 10 singles, three top 10 albums and recently completed a UK arena tour. In total they have sold over three million records. The girls relocated to Los Angeles in August to begin filming the series.

Each 30 minute episode of Chasing The Saturdays will be filled with music, laughs, drama, glamour and fun as the five young women navigate their way through the U.S star-making machinery. From signing with renowned music label Mercury/Island Def Jam Records on their debut US album and promoting their new single ‘What About Us” – to settling into a new and vibrant city, and dealing with husbands and lovers back in the UK, The Saturdays handle it all with spirit, humour and their infectious personalities.

The Saturdays will back in the UK at the end of the year ahead of the UK release of new single ‘What About Us’ in early 2013.

Frankie to miss Roxy Show

Sad news. Frankie won’t be performing with the girls and doing her US duties for the time being due to a death in her family. Frankie found out yesterday that her grandad has sadly passed away and that she is obviously returning to the UK for the funeral and to be with her family. We obviously send our best wishes to Frankie and her family during the sad time.

Below are a few pictures of Frankie and the rest of the girls doing some work in LA before Frankie got the news.

News Roundup – 25th October 2012

Hey all! Hope everyone is good and well! Sadly it’s not the most exciting time being a The Saturdays fan right now as the girls are all business like in the USA. We know the girls hit the recording studio with Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins the other night. He is the man behind massive tunes such as Telephone by Lady GaGa and Beyonce plus produced many a song for other acts such as Britney Spears, the late Michael Jackson and others. This is an interesting time for the girls who are finally recording with some heavy hitting producers in the US, will these songs bring them US success and their first UK number one? Lets hope so!

The girls favourite UK news source has been posting pictures of them out and about doing business type stuff. Rather than reproducing all the pointless stuff they write, I’ve posted up a few pictures from there for you to view. Hopefully we will have some more concrete news about ‘What About Us’ shortly as we are nearly in November (scary eh? – where has this year gone?!)
