The Saturdays to work with Labrinth

According to CapitalFM the girls are expected to record a song with producer Labrinth:

Speaking to Capital, Rochelle Wiseman told us: ‘We just started writing (for the next album) at the end of last year.

‘We’re planning to release it at the end of this year. We’re going to be working with Labrinth on one track.’

Rochelle also revealed that the band would be releasing a new single soon.

For those who don’t know Labrinth, he’s a songwriter/producer/performer and one of the leading people in the current UK grime scene and has produced hit songs for Tinie Tempah such as the number one single Pass Out and number two single Frisky

The Saturdays confirm new UK tour

The Saturdays have announced plans for their next UK tour.

The group, who are currently in the middle of a 17-date sold out jaunt, told fans during their gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo that they will hit the road again in December this year.

“Tonight we’re very excited to announce some special news,” Frankie Sandford told the audience. “Following the success of the ‘Headlines!’ tour, we’ll be touring the UK again this December.

“We’re going to announce the dates very soon, so make sure to look out for them. Are you all going to come?”

The band also revealed that they are currently working on their next studio album, which is due for release later this year.

The Saturdays eye Europe

As expected the girls are going to attempt to break into markets across the world. Starting up in Germany as per their recent visit before the Headlines Tour started.

Early news suggests that the lead single will be Higher – due to be released in April – and followed by a album release in the Summer.

I would expect any European release album to be the new UK album with certain songs from their previous UK albums on, so Higher, Ego etc.

Hopefully the news of them hitting Germany will filter around countries nearby such as Holland, France, Spain etc. and the group can start taking on Europe as well as the UK.

More information as we get it 🙂

Edit: Seems to be a lot of scaremongering going on over this item. I’m not reporting this as fact or anything like that, its purely what we’ve heard along the grapevine so to speak. As you are well aware release dates get changed constantly, plans get changed etc. etc.

The group will prioritise the UK over Germany at present anyway, so any new UK single – which could also be due in April/May – will obviously be ahead of any Germany promo.
