New Single

’30 Days’ confirmed!

Probably the worst kept secret but @TheSaturdays have finally confirmed their new single ‘30 Days‘. The official mailer also gives the following tidbits of extra information:

The song was written and produced by the talented Steve Mac (who’s worked on our previous singles ‘Higher’, ‘Ego’ and ‘Notorious’) and co-written by Autumn Rowe (who wrote Alexis Jordan’s amazing choon, ‘Happiness’). Stay tuned for more deets on our new single coming soon, including the release date and single sleeve!!

Release date is currently rumoured to be the end of April (29th) and according to a press-release earlier in the week the music video is set to premiere in ‘a couple of weeks’. Stay tuned for the latest information! 🙂

Autumn Rowe additionally has song writing credits for recently releases such as ‘Swagger Jagger’ (Cher Lloyd) and ‘Collide’ (Leona Lewis).

The calm before the storm?

It’s all rather quite in the world of @thesaturdays right now. I think we are all assuming this is the calm moments before they unleash their new single onto the (un)suspecting public at large!

Not too much news to report, there have been stories about David calling Mollie at 4am

Plus other stories such as Vanessa to organised Rochelle’s birthday party

The results from the first Semi-Final of our Best Video poll are as follows, have to say it was pretty one-sided …

1. Notorious (67%)
2. Missing You (32%)
3. Forever Is Over (1%)

The next poll is now up, so get voting 😀

New Single Confirmed

I suggest you run over to the official site and watch the new video on the site. The video basically confirmed that the new video – shot yesterday – is for a brand new song. Seems the On Your Radar era is already over, unless of course this is part of a re-release but they are seemingly recording a lot of new material so it’s probably a new album as JLS and The Wanted who also released albums last November are already prepping new albums too, so our girls are probably doing the same!

Exciting times in the world of The Saturdays right now!

‘The Way You Watch Me’ to be a single after all?

Update (23rd Feb): Seems the video is being shot tomorrow – 24th February!
Update 2 (23rd Feb): @TheSaturdays official twitter confirms a video is being recorded tomorrow, and they continue to use the ‘BRAND NEW‘ wording … exciting times ahead that is for certain!!

Seems @TheSaturdays ‘The Way You Watch Me’ might be a single after all .. they have casted people for the video today, via twitter:

Mikey Levelle at Shameless is casting a music video for THE SATURDAYS – ‘The Way you Watch Me’ Director: Taylor Cohen

Is this the next UK single? Are they using the ‘Travie Effect’ for a US buzz song? In a similar way Taio Cruz used Kylie for the UK release of ‘Higher’ but the US version featured Travie McCoy? Is all this a bit sudden either way as Una can hardly be used in the promo. Are they doing it for both markets?

Leave us your thoughts below or via twitter and facebook!

‘The Way You Watch Me’ to be 4th single

According to music video site VideoStatic the girls next single is set to be ‘The Way You Watch Me’ which features Travie McCoy. The site says the director of the video is Taylor Cohen who previously directed the girls video for Higher.

IN PRODUCTION: The Saturdays f/ Travie McCoy – Taylor Cohen, dir.

  • artist: The Saturdays f/ Travie McCoy
  • song: “The Way You Watch Me”
  • label: Polydor
  • director(s): Taylor Cohen
  • production co: Doomsday Ent
  • producer: Danielle Hinde, Mikey Levelle
  • commissioner: Emily Tedrake

What do you think of this choice? Was it always going to be a single due to Travie? Did you want Faster like a lot of other media outlets where claiming? Or should they have just released Get Ready, Get Set and blown everyone away? Leave us your comments 🙂

Thursday Chart Update: Number 13

@thesaturdays seem to be suffering from the ‘new album out in a few days’ syndrome where people aren’t picking up the single as there is an album only a few days away. On the Thursday chart update ‘My Heart Takes Over’ sits at number 13. Unless there is a sales burst between now and Saturday it looks like ‘My Heart Takes Over’ will only be the 2nd single they’ve released that has failed to go Top 10, after Work charted at number 22.

You can still help change this, by buying the single using the links below 🙂
