I can’t believe that it’s October already! Where is the time going, it will be Christmas before we know it! Woosh!
Here’s a brief @TheSaturdays roundup, news isn’t terribly exciting as the girls are now back in LA and continuing to record their new album. They’ve spend this weekend working with Diane Warren and The Jam, and Mollie is now an expert on the piano!
The girls favourite news piece – Daily Mail – keeps posting pictures of them, but without much news substance that we already know! I’ve posted a few pictures from the Daily Mail below, our gallery has also been recently updated with the latest pictures of the girls out and about over the last few weeks!
Yay! *parties* today is my birthday, where I am 21 yet again! *cough* So Happy Birthday me!!
Today also sees the girls doing their calendar signing in an HMV in Birmingham, sadly they will be a member down. Mollie kindly decided to come to my birthday party instead of going to the signing 😉 – no no I kid! She’s not feeling too well so isn’t travelling to Birmingham, so get well soon Mollie! 🙂

Over the past month, we asked you to let us know who in the public eye with dyslexia inspires you the most and we are pleased to
let you know that the nominations are in and counted.
We can now confirm that the celebrity with the most nominations for the second year running is Mollie King, one fifth of super girl group, The Saturdays. Mollie speaks openly about being dyslexic and the challenges this presents and has given so many others the confidence to believe that their goals are achievable.
The It’s Me! Award is the only award presented at the annual Dyslexia Action Awards Dinner that is chosen by public nomination and we have had an overwhelming response this year with almost nine thousand nominations!
To showcase the fantastic nominees, we have created a pinterest board from the Wikipedia pages of those nominated. There are so many people who have not let dyslexia hold them back from achieving their dreams, we hope that you find this board as inspiring and motivating as we do!
The Dyslexia Action Awards Dinner raises money to enable us to take action to help more children, young people and adults with dyslexia and literacy difficulties. To say its a tad quiet (on the news front) is an understatement right now, it’s not unexpected tho. The media are just publishing pictures of the girls as they wander around LA doing their US thing, all the pictures are being added constantly to our gallery and everytime that is updated you can find out from checking the thumbnails to the right or follow us on Twitter @TheSatsCoUk where you will be notified of the updates the second that they happen. The gallery also has an RSS feed you can subscribe to to see the updates etc. Also as I said before I work in a school so August is my summer holidays so I’ve also been taking a break from the site, luckily it has seemingly coincided with the girls going to LA so not much is being missed, unless you like pictures!
The latest rumblings from the media in the UK is all very uneventful and not really news-site-worthy unless you believe that ‘news’ is the girls posting pictures of themselves on twitter/instagram without make-up on!! I know news is slow, seriously, but journalists are being paid to write this stuff!
Hopefully the girls US plans will kick into action soon so we have more exciting stuff to report! Until then keep checking out the gallery for the latest pictures of the girls out and about in the USA!
The girls are continuing their LA visit by shopping, relaxing, doing a bit more shopping and recording! Still seems to be a lack of TV cameras around tho, or are the paps just not photographing them!

Our very own Mollie is telling all about how she keeps so fit and healthy in this months Women’s Health Magazine – out 1st August.
As one fifth of pop group The Saturdays, Mollie King has earned herself a reputation as something of a pop princess.
But in a sexy new shoot, the 25-year-old singer has decided to ditch her sweet and innocent appearance for a sexy new look.
Mollie is seen showing off her toned figure in a series of black outfits for the new issue of Women’s Health magazine.
In one shot, the pretty blonde star sports a flowing black dress, but hardens the outfit up with heeled boots and fingerless gloves.
And in another, Mollie shows off her enviably toned legs in a tiny pair of hotpants teamed with a cropped top.
In all the pictures, Mollie is seen with slicked back hair and heavily kohled eyes – a sharp contrast to her usual appearance.
Mollie’s shoot for Women’s Health came as she revealed her fitness secrets to the magazine, insisting that despite her apparently flawless figure, she still finds herself feeling self-conscious when it comes to stripping off.
She said: ‘I’m very self conscious in a bikini and I would never get my tummy out onstage. If I were to choose a part of each of The Saturdays’ bodies to make up the perfect woman, I would take Una’s eyes, Rochelle’s boobs, Frankie’s tummy and Vanessa’s bum. Then my legs – if we have to!’
Mollie added that when it comes to food, she sticks to a relatively healthy diet until it comes to ordering food in.
She said: ‘I eat pretty healthily most of the time but I love takeaways, because I can’t cook, and often eat until I feel sick.’
Mollie added of how she stays slim: ‘I don’t drink and have never been drunk, ever.
‘At some point, I do need to be able to say, “Oh, I know what that hangover feels like, but I haven’t had one yet.” ‘
While Mollie has recently been romantically linked to famous faces including Prince Harry, she said in the interview with Women’s Health that she is still looking for her perfect man.
She said: ‘I love the band; they’re my life. But in ten years time I also hope to have a family. I’m such a girl and already have my baby names planned. Now I just need to find a good man.’

Remember last year everyone got together and voted Mollie as an inspirational person who has dyslexia, well that time of the year has rolled around again! The organising people have said that previous winners can be nominated again! So you know what that means, it’s time to get voting!
Voting is a little different this year, last year seemed to turn into a spam-a-thon on twitter, so this year it seems you are only able to vote in two ways, you can vote via their website and via their facebook pages
So if you see Mollie as an inspirational dyslexic person then get voting. Remember you can vote more than once, so keep on voting! 🙂
