Happy Birthday to the fun-loving Britney fanatic of the group, Mollie King! Today is is Mollie’s 26th birthday and everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite is wishing her a wonderful birthday and hope that she gets spoilt rotten by the rest of the girls, her friends and family!
Hopefully Mollie’s Birthday Book will be with her soon, it was sent directly to the girls management yesterday, so they would have received it today! So hopefully they will pass it onto her soon so she can read all your wonderful birthday messages!
The major news from yesterday seems that despite some ramblings that the girls new album was basically finished, the girls spent yesterday in the recording studio recording with DJ Fresh. With the wide variety of producers that the girls have used, all of whom produce different styles of music, its hard to pinpoint what the final album might actually sound like!
In other news in the annual FHM Top 100 ‘sexiest’ – UK – two of our girls managed to get into the Top 100! Mollie was voted the 18th ‘most sexiest’ followed by Frankie who was voted the ’37th’ most sexiest.
Talking relationships there is a (awful lot) of media interest in Mollie and Jordan, seems a tad over the top to me, but hey thats the media for you. And apparently Mollie’s ‘friend’ has said that she was ‘feeling lonely’ being the only single member … not quite sure what ‘friend’ goes to the media but hey!
For those wanting to hear the girls interview in Ireland on TodayFM, you can listen to it here – thanks to Jennie for the link 🙂
Those awaiting a video for ‘Sweat The Small Stuff’ it should be on the site later this evening 🙂
Hey all! It’s another Monday already, where are the days going too? Anyway I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I would like to report lots of new and exciting news, but sadly there isn’t much to report. Apparently Mollie is ‘off the market’ now – sorry boys and girls. No news how true (or untrue) the reports are as both camps are being very quiet, but either way that takes long-distance relationships to new levels!
Juliane has kindly e-mailed in more links from the girls recent trip to Germany, you can catch them over at PressePortal andE-Online (Germany) which is a perfect opportunity to use that GCSE you did in German – or if like me you did French, you might struggle to read it!
We will obviously do our best to keep everyone outside the UK up to date with what is going on in your country but its difficult for us to get links from non-english speaking countries. If your country has a Saturdays article we will post it, just e-mail it to us at [email protected] or tweet us @TheSatsCoUk and we will post it 🙂
In the UK, ‘What About Us’ drops to number 13 on its fifth week in the charts. This is possibly their strongest single to date in the UK spending 5 weeks in the Top 20 which is awesome, hopefully their next single will do the same, but there are rumours abound that we might be in for a little wait for this – probably due to the fact that Rochelle will be given birth shortly, only a minor inconvience 😉
A few days ago, Vanessa, Una and Frankie popped down to Capital Breakfast London to have a quick chat, kindly Capital have added this to their soundcloud so you can now listen to it if you missed it!
Hey all! It’s Monday and for a fair amount of people, including myself, who work in education or attend school or college its back to work (Yes I know some of you did go back last week too!) but we are all back now!
After the huge success of ‘What About Us’ in the UK – which just to mention is still Top 10 after 4 weeks now – which is awesome for the girls – it’s all gone a little quiet (In the UK ..) but the girls are bored of just getting UK success and last week flew over to Germany to tempt those Europeans with some UK girl group action. Thanks to Juliane for spotting this article about the girls in Germany (It’s in German, obviously!) and if any of our other European visitors find news/videos/articles that we can post please mail them over to us via @TheSatsCoUk or e-mail (see the social tab at the top of the site!)
As I spoke about the other week, our lovely Una has started up a blog with Hello Magazine! You can read it on the Hello Site rather than reproducing the entire blog here.
Hopefully the release of a certain song called ‘Gentleman’ won’t affect the girls rumoured next single of the similar name (they do sound rather different tho!) but more news as we get it on that front.
Also here’s an Interview that the girls did with Capital FM (East Midlands) a few days ago:
It’s Tuesday, its February it only means one thing, its Pancake day! It’s time to admit how many pancakes you will eat tonight, I shall probably have 2 (or 3) depending on how I feel.
It’s also my first anniversary today, so I’ll use the site to say thank you to those members of TeamSats who have supported me and Rosie since day 1 🙂 We do appreciate all your support.
The DailyMail (who else) have given their review of Chasing The Saturdays (Episode 4) – I do find it a little funny that the UK media are just going with the US pacing of the show and not the UK one .. I guess there is a chance the final episode will air near each other but for now, there is a 2 week difference.
OK Magazine are running an ‘exclusive’ on how the love-king helped keep Una and Ben’s proposal a surprise:
Una Healy and Ben Foden have revealed how Mollie King helped plan his surprise proposal and their heartbreak at being away from daughter Aoife Belle.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine, the rugby hunk confessed he ‘conspired’ with The Saturdays to make his secret engagement party as special as possible.
He said: “I’d conspired with Mollie [King]. I’d got the the other girls to wait at my house along with friends and family and it was a complete surprise.”
The romantic couple – who will be celebrating their daughter’s first birthday next month – also opened up about balancing their family life with their work commitments.
Una admitted she was brought to tears the first time she had to leave little Aoife behind, because of her hectic US schedule with her bandmates.
“The first time I’d been apart from her was for a week in New York and I was so down. But we got through it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder,” she added.
Our very own Mollie has taken to the media to try and find herself a boyfriend (plus of course she’s on the front cover of Cosmo which is out today – so grab a copy!) I’m sure most of these articles are based on the actual Cosmo article, so here’s a behind the scenes video and a round-up:
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine the blonde beauty said: ‘I’ve never had a one-night stand or sex on the first date, and I don’t think I ever would. It’s important for a guy to know and understand me before he can even think about taking things to the next step.
For me, the most attractive thing in a man is the ability to make me laugh. He has to be spontaneous, fun and able to banter – it’s not a job interview, it’s a date! I like day dates, and I like throwing the ball in his court.
I’m enjoying being single and I’m definitely not gagging to be in another relationship. When I go out, I’m not going out to find a man; I’m going out to dance the night away with my best friends.
I want the fairy tale and I’m not going to settle for anything less.’
“It’s important for a guy to know and understand me before he can even think about taking things to the next step.”
And by the sounds of things, Mollie’s been listening to Beyonce’s Single Ladies on repeat, because she seems to be LOVING her single life.
“I’m enjoying being single and I’m definitely not gagging to be in another relationship. When I go out, I’m not going out to find a man; I’m going out to dance the night away with my best friends.”
She adds: “The positives [of being single] are huge. I’ve learnt a lot about myself – small things like learning to live by myself and take care of myself. I love that I don’t rely on anyone else or need to lean on anyone else; I can just do things on my own… Being single has definitely given me a new lease of life.”
It’s not non-stop girls’ night out fun however, as Mollie confesses that she’s found heartbreak hard.
“Having your heart broken is hard at the best of times, but being in the public eye has definitely made it harder for me,” she says.
“The point is, you don’t want your ex to read how you’re feeling – or vice versa.
“I’ve had my heart broken and it’s the hardest thing. Everyone says, ‘Give it time, you’ll feel better in the morning.’ But you don’t. You feel like it’s never, ever going to heal – especially during the first few weeks.
“For me it’s always been like, ‘Have I done the right thing? Have I made the right decision?’ You start to doubt yourself, because you still miss that person. It’s like a habit that’s been taken away from you, and you feel lost.”
And it seems as though it took some time to get used to her newly single status, describing it as a “shock”.
“This is my first time being properly single and at first I had that shock of, ‘Oh my god, who do I call at night when I go to sleep? Who do I call if I get upset?’ But I just needed to adapt to that person not being around. Being single has forced me to grow up and be more independent, and that’s something I’m really proud of.”
If you’re interested in wooing the sexy star (that’ll be every man reading, then), read on to discover what you’ll need to fill the man-shaped hole in Mollie’s life.
“For me, the most attractive thing in a man is the ability to make me laugh. He has to be spontaneous, fun and able to banter – it’s not a job interview, it’s a date! I like day dates, and I like throwing the ball in his court.”
She adds: “When I was a teenager I wanted a surfer dude; now I want a man – someone who’s confident and who’ll look after me, and who won’t play games.”
Despite featuring in pretty much every ‘world’s sexiest women’ list going, Mollie says she doesn’t know how to feel sexy, but thinks sexiness is all about being confident.
“Your personality is what makes you sexy,” she says. “The way you hold and deliver yourself. The women I think are sexy in any given room aren’t necessarily the best-looking, but they have an aura and a confidence about them that just gives off sex appeal.”
“In all honesty I don’t really know how to feel sexy. But I do think it’s all about being yourself. Don’t transform into someone else, because people can see through that. Sexy is being independent, being confident and having fun.”
