Hey TeamSats! Hope everyone is fine and well on this Thursday. We always try to bring you the latest and greatest news from @TheSaturdays but it is still really quiet. As exptected really as the girls continue to record their new album in the USA!
The girls popped into People Magazine yesterday to continue to get their name out there to the US public at large. Expect something from People Magazine soon on the girls!
Last night Mollie and Frankie attended the Justin Bieber concert in LA … make of that what you will. Plus the girls favourite fashion magazine, the Daily Mail, posted a few pictures of the girls walking around LA, I’ve posted these below.
The girls second ever gig in LA takes place tonight in Tigerheat, the girls are due on at around 11pm (or after) which is 7am Friday morning for those in the UK. The new single ‘What About Us’ should get another outing tonight as well. Have an awesome time if you are going tonight!
It’s all still a bit quiet isn’t it? Here’s a round up of the news over the last few days:
Firstly it seems Alexandra Burke has let it slip that the Rochelle-Marvin wedding is due to take place over this coming weekend. More as details slip out about this little shindig! With a wedding this weekend then The Saturdays due to fly out to the USA in the middle of August will there be enough time for a new single to hit the airwaves before they fly out? Seems the timings might be a little tight but we’ll see what happens!
Mollie has been speaking to OK Magazine about Cyber-Bullies and how much they hurt. So the next time that tempting tweet or message to someone is on your finger-tips then think again before sending it!
Una has been doing her bit for Alpro UK, in an attempt to get the UK public to start eating more plant based products (apparently) of which she did a photoshoot for them (see picture above) and she also did a couple of Twitter Q&A sessions yesterday, of which she replied to the site 🙂 – see below –
I think we all need to start packing for the beach holiday!!!
Looks like @FrankieTheSats has given up on the UK Summer – not a bad idea looking out the window at work this morning! The paper that seemingly just pays journlists to sit on social networking sites and ‘create’ news stories has made this one up of our Frankie enjoying life on a lovely beach that us here in the UK must look at and think, wow I wish I was there ….
How about bringing some of the lovely sun back with you when you return please Frankie and Wayne?
This morning Frankie & Mollie hit BBC Radio 1’s studios to have an interview with Chris Moyles on his breakfast show. You can listen to this interview below 🙂 I’ve cut it into two parts, as they played a couple of songs after the news break, including 30 Days, but to reduce the recording time and to keep the record labels happy I’ve removed the songs! The girls talk babies, marriage, summer concerts, new album, 30 Days, Mollie being single, Frankie and Wayne .. Frankie also confirmed that they are going over to the US ‘in a few weeks’ to film a pilot for their US TV series and they hope to ‘release a single there soon’, they talk that they aren’t planning to move to the US, e.g. the pilot recording is only expected to take a week at the most. Plus they talk about hairy breasts … indeed! Its a long long interview, over two parts! Enjoy! 🙂
This evening @FrankieTheSats and @VanessaWhite appeared on the ITV2 Comedy show Celebrity Juice ‘Pop Special’.
As per our usual warnings this show is aimed at adults there is lots of adult references and use of strong language (even from our own girls!) so if you are offended by this sort of humour then you might not want to press play below.
The results are in on the annual FHM Poll which asks readers to vote for the sexiest ladies. This years winner was Tulisa, beating off Cheryl Cole and Rihanna. The Saturdays didn’t fare too badly either. Our very own Mollie King came in this year at number 14 and Frankie rose up a few places to number 19. Una also managed to make the list at number 66. Sadly Rochelle and Vanessa didn’t get enough votes – but there is always next year girls 🙂
Seems the girls are catching the eye of the UK public at least! I’m sure many of you who visited here voted too, so thanks for your votes! 😀
This afternoon Mollie, Frankie and Rochelle popped into BBC Radio 1 to have a natter with Nick Grimshaw, you can listen to the interview below. They talk football, ask if the girls can explain the off-side rule and admit they don’t drink pints.
Those in the UK can listen to it again via the BBC Website those who cannot we will have a copy up ASAP (basically as soon as the BBC site co-operates!)
@TheSaturdays Another year has gone by, it’s yet again 7th April which means two things. It’s my sisters birthday and it’s also OUR birthday 🙂
Amazingly this website is 4 years old today, we officially launched on 7th April 2008. To put this into a bit of perspective:
14th May 2008: Official site launches (or near to that date anyway!)
27th July 2008: If This Is Love released
For those who have recently joined us, we launched in 2008 after we heard about The Saturdays – even way before the site launched – thanks to our wonderful S Club 8 community. The site was pulled together via the forum community and we launched and well the rest is history. Obviously we wouldn’t be here without YOU – the visitor – who keeps coming back to see what we have to offer and what we have to post. You can always drop us a message via Twitter and Facebook and some other social media places, check out the icons at the top of the page and if you are a member join us – we don’t bite 🙂
We also thank the girls of The Saturdays. Mollie has recently followed the site on twitter, we thank them all personally, plus the girls management and their team at Universal/Polydor music. All these members, including the girls, have been ultra supportive of the site throughout the years and we long hope this continues for the lifespan of the site – and the girls of course. 😀
Without the support of the visitors and the girls and the team that surrounds them we wouldn’t be here 4 years on. We thank each and every one of your individually, and hopefully we and the girls will still be here for years to come!
– The Saturdays Fansite Team
I also personally want to thank EVERYONE who has helped this site over the last few years. There are too many to mention but you know who you are, be it the current team or those who helped the site when it first started. Without any of you we wouldn’t be here today. So huge thanks to every single one of you!
UPDATE: Last year we had a tweet from @TheSaturdays it seems this year they’ve put us in the mailer! If you get the weekly e-mail look out for us there!! Thanks @TheSaturdays and their team this is AMAZING 😀
