First thing to say is that its FRIDAY! (Our second favourite day of the week – obviously). Secondly its also now February .. where is the year going?!
Another day, another update, to say its been busy the last month has been an understatement thats for sure!
Firstly a roundup from Twitter, as a few people have already noticed What About Us is basically set to be released everywhere over the next few months. It will be almost impossible for us to report where the song is charting everywhere, so if you are visiting from a country we don’t usually report on please drop us a message (see the Social menu at the top) and we will add it to the news š
Secondly the girls popped into KissFM the other day who have kindly sent over some information for us to post š
During the interview, they told us aboutĀ an embarrassing situation withĀ Sean Paul, Rochelle being kept up at night by an āamorousā couple next door andĀ Mollieās run-in with the law.
RochelleĀ also discussed shopping and her new home set-up with husband Marvin from JLS.
Plus,Ā Mollie KingĀ told usĀ about her worst ever Valentineās date, the currently single star revealed that she once accidentally went out with her mum on V-Day.
āI once went to the cinema with my mum, it was the worst,ā she says.āI didnāt realise it was Valentineās and everyone was… there were smooching couples around and I was like, āmum letās just leave this is embarrassing.āāand plans for this year.
The girls also fight over whoāll be babysitting Rochelle &Ā Marvin JLSās baby!
Our very own Mollie has taken to the media to try and find herself a boyfriend (plus of course she’s on the front cover of Cosmo which is out today – so grab a copy!) I’m sure most of these articles are based on the actual Cosmo article, so here’s a behind the scenes video and a round-up:
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine the blonde beauty said: ‘Iāve never had a one-night stand or sex on the first date, and I donāt think I ever would. Itās important for a guy to know and understand me before he can even think about taking things to the next step.
For me, the most attractive thing in a man is the ability to make me laugh. He has to be spontaneous, fun and able to banter ā itās not a job interview, itās a date! I like day dates, and I like throwing the ball in his court.
Iām enjoying being single and Iām definitely not gagging to be in another relationship. When I go out, Iām not going out to find a man; Iām going out to dance the night away with my best friends.
I want the fairy tale and Iām not going to settle for anything less.’
“Itās important for a guy to know and understand me before he can even think about taking things to the next step.ā
And by the sounds of things, Mollie’s been listening to Beyonce’s Single Ladies on repeat, because she seems to be LOVING her single life.
āIām enjoying being single and Iām definitely not gagging to be in another relationship. When I go out, Iām not going out to find a man; Iām going out to dance the night away with my best friends.ā
She adds: āThe positives [of being single] are huge. Iāve learnt a lot about myself ā small things like learning to live by myself and take care of myself. I love that I donāt rely on anyone else or need to lean on anyone else; I can just do things on my ownā¦ Being single has definitely given me a new lease of life.ā
It’s not non-stop girls’ night out fun however, as Mollie confesses that she’s found heartbreak hard.
āHaving your heart broken is hard at the best of times, but being in the public eye has definitely made it harder for me,” she says.
“The point is, you donāt want your ex to read how youāre feeling ā or vice versa.
āIāve had my heart broken and itās the hardest thing. Everyone says, āGive it time, youāll feel better in the morning.ā But you donāt. You feel like itās never, ever going to heal ā especially during the first few weeks.
“For me itās always been like, āHave I done the right thing? Have I made the right decision?ā You start to doubt yourself, because you still miss that person. Itās like a habit thatās been taken away from you, and you feel lost.ā
And it seems as though it took some time to get used to her newly single status, describing it as a “shock”.
āThis is my first time being properly single and at first I had that shock of, āOh my god, who do I call at night when I go to sleep? Who do I call if I get upset?ā But I just needed to adapt to that person not being around. Being single has forced me to grow up and be more independent, and thatās something Iām really proud of.ā
If you’re interested in wooing the sexy star (that’ll be every man reading, then), read on to discover what you’ll need to fill the man-shaped hole in Mollie’s life.
āFor me, the most attractive thing in a man is the ability to make me laugh. He has to be spontaneous, fun and able to banter ā itās not a job interview, itās a date! I like day dates, and I like throwing the ball in his court.ā
She adds: āWhen I was a teenager I wanted a surfer dude; now I want a man ā someone whoās confident and whoāll look after me, and who wonāt play games.ā
Despite featuring in pretty much every ‘world’s sexiest women’ list going, Mollie says she doesn’t know how to feel sexy, but thinks sexiness is all about being confident.
āYour personality is what makes you sexy,” she says. “The way you hold and deliver yourself. The women I think are sexy in any given room arenāt necessarily the best-looking, but they have an aura and a confidence about them that just gives off sex appeal.ā
āIn all honesty I donāt really know how to feel sexy. But I do think itās all about being yourself. Donāt transform into someone else, because people can see through that. Sexy is being independent, being confident and having fun.ā
According to the Official Mailer that came out today, the girls are set to tour in February 2011. No dates have been announced or the venues – this is happening on Tuesday – but we understand that tickets will be around the Ā£25-30 mark, probably depending on the venue, and its likely to be another Theatre tour rather than a full-scale Arena tour.
Everything is expected to be announced on Tuesday, unless some ticketing site spills the beans before then. Keep it here for more.
