Chasing The Saturdays – UK Premiere

We all knew it would be shown in the UK, it was just a case of when and where. E! have obviously decided to keep the show to theirselves and the UK premiere date is on Sunday 3rd February at 10pm which is only a couple of weeks after the US airing.

I know people are probably wondering when/if we will get the show online for those who aren’t in the US and want to see it before the UK premiere, can’t get E! in the US or UK or just don’t live in either country to watch it. We should have the show after it’s US airing but haven’t decided on a way to do this without getting the wrath of E! or the girls US and UK labels chopping off our heads. Please bare with us with this and we will update everyone soon 🙂

Mollie, Mollie, Mollie!

Our blonde bombshell Miss Mollie King seems to be grabbing all the news at present! First we start with Mollie at the Mahiki Club at a launch of a new coconut rum .. yeah maybe you are having the same thoughts as we are. Either way Mollie looks amazing as always, the problem is everyone else who is in attendance, Mollie we love you but maybe go to a few events where its not full of Z-Listers? You are a member of a leading girl group afterall! You can check out Mollie – in shorts, in December (we’ve had light snow in London today!) below!

The next piece of news about Miss King is the whole Prince Harry did she, didn’t she issue. Speaking to Closer magazine it is being reported that Mollie said: “Yes, I have met Harry, and we did go out for a drink,” she revealed. “But a lot of the times I’m linked to men, I haven’t even met them!”

Now call me old school but if she went ‘for a drink’ does that mean they where actually dating? Was it even a date? Was it just a drink between mates? Make your own conclusions!

Mollie King crowned Most Inspirational Dyslexic Celebrity

Gorgeous pop star Mollie King, who as one fifth of the UK’s most popular girl band The Saturdays is used to success, had some solo success of her own as she collected the It’s ME! Award for most inspirational dyslexic celebrity at national educational charity Dyslexia Action’s Annual Awards dinner at The Savoy Hotel on Thursday.

Mollie who is the 2nd time winner of the publicly nominated award was presented her honour by famous broadcaster and presenter Gabby Logan. Mollie commented “I’ve got my Mum and Dad with me tonight which is great, considering how much they’ve helped me I thought they deserved a night out! I am so proud of this award and I really hope that anyone out there with dyslexia knows they are not stupid, can access the help and support they need and has the confidence to take on as many opportunities as possible. This means a great deal and thank you so much to all of you who voted!”

Mollie was in good company at the event which drew support from many familiar faces and respected professionals in education and the field of dyslexia.  She was also able to share the experience with Young Persons Award winner Angelina Bateman (16) from Chelmsford, who was nominated by her Dyslexia Action teacher for her hard work and dedication to her specialist classes. Angelina receives subsidised tuition from a specialist Dyslexia Action teacher through the organisations Learning Fund.

Last night’s event aimed to raise more awareness and crucial funds to ensure that more people like Angelina have access to this support and do not miss the opportunities they deserve due to dyslexia or dyslexia related issues. Also at the event were adventurer and Dyslexia Action President Charley Boorman, rugby legend Kenny Logan who also chaired the event and racing driver Damon Hill.

Mollie ends “Angelina is such a lovely, intelligent girl and so inspirational! I am so happy that she was able to get support from Dyslexia Action and this work is why I am here tonight!”

News Bits: Mollie, All Fired Up Tour, What About Us

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates recently as those who follow us on twitter will know I spent the weekend in Sheffield, whilst catching the Steps Christmas show with my girlfriend. Really good fun pop show, would love to see The Saturdays doing a couple of fun filled smaller shows 🙂

Just a brief roundup as it’s looking increasingly likely that December is going to be a barron month with The Saturdays too, although I do hope that we will see the ‘What About Us’ music video shortly as if they are supposedly releasing it in January … unless of course they mean the song will be premiered in January and we will have to wait until Feb/March to get hold of it!

As you are all aware we are proud of all our efforts to help Mollie pick up the Dyslexia Action It’s Me Choice Award, and thanks to ALL your efforts Mollie picked up over 70% of the entire vote and won the award for the Second Year. This week’s flip takes you behind the scenes of the award show. We send out our huge congratulations to Mollie for winning this award again! A true inspirational dyslexic!

Also if you have been following us on twitter, and not living under a rock, it’s that scary time when we look back at a year ago and go ‘where has the time gone?!’ believe it or not it was a YEAR AGO when the All Fired Up Tour kicked off. We went to 4 nights last year, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Brighton and Wembley. Met a whole bunch of people, and had a good time. But seriously its been a year already?! If you have any tour memories drop us a tweet and we’ll RT you!

Talking about ‘What About Us’ and a huge thanks to everyone who e-mailed us about this. The song has actually entered a US chart. What About Us entered at number 44 (don’t giggle its a great start, they are unknown there remember!) in the US Dance/Club Songs. This chart is based on songs played at clubs in the US – the US chart is a bit more modern than the traditional UK based sales charts. Well done girls!
