First up it seems the girls new US release will be called …. ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ its currently up for pre-order on Amazon US for $9.51 and an import is available on Amazon UK for £9.38. US Fans need to jump on this release and show your support. 😀
Frankie was ‘moved to tears’ during the filming of Chasing The Saturdays, as being reported by OK Magazine;
In the debut episode, Sandford, who checked into a clinic in 2011 to treat depression, is seen crying alone in her bedroom – and she admitted she was struggling to deal with the big move from her native U.K.
She says, “I’m hoping I am strong enough to get over it. I felt really homesick. I am such a baby – when I walked in it felt empty.”
Also there is a lot of fuss over nothing about ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ being subtitled in the US so that Americans can understand their accents, US visitors can correct me if I am wrong but I believe that other US shows on E! are also subtitled? Either way ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ premieres on 20th January!
Last night our girls appeared on American TV for their first ever TV Interview, this took place on the E! show Chelsea Lately, you can now watch this interview below:

N.B. Those looking for the interview yesterday of Chelsea Lately, it’s coming to this site very soon!
Firstly People.com have done a preview of ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ on their website which is pretty awesome. They’ve also got a video preview which is also exciting!
Also news this morning is out that the girls are going to release a mini-EP in the US. The 5 track EP is due out on the 29thJanuary and includes the new single ‘What About Us’ alongside 4 ‘classic’ songs. This is to serve as an introduction of the group to the US with a full album due out later this year!
In other news the British Heart Foundation have put more information up, remember to donate £2 and ‘Rock Up In Red’ check out Mollie in the video below.
The US version (e.g. without Sean Paul) of the ‘What About Us’ music video is set to premiere this Friday (11th January) at 8am (UK Time) The girls official site have posted this gif from the music video to tease everyone …
The Saturdays have also been chosen to be the first artists of 2013 for the VEVO Lift series! I assume the premiere forms part of this. More will be revealed from this friday at http://www.vevo.com/lift
The girls hit the recording studio with big-time producer Rodney Jerkins yesterday, Mollie even Instagramed a few pictures!
Exciting times, Frankie even hinting that this recording is for the second single, as she tweeted:
“Seriously sats aren’t messing around in 2013! Next single….”
Update: Reports are coming in that Demi Lovato was also in the studio at the same time. From what I can gather so far reports suggest that she was ‘laying down vocals with The Saturdays’ does that mean she’s co-written a song for the girls, or was she mearly just in the same recording studio complex recording songs for her own project? Let the rumours intensify!
It’s all very exciting, isn’t it? Also for the US fans it gets more exciting, the girls appear on YOUR TV tonight! The girls are on E! News at 11.30pm ET/PT which for those in the UK would mean it should air tomorrow. E! News airs at 8am, 9am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 11pm so plenty of chances in the UK to view it. We’ll have it on the site tomorrow for those without E! or those living outside the US and UK.
As previously reported Mollie is fronting the British National Heart Month this February, and some pictures have now appeared, Mollie is looking lovely!
She’s the blonde bombshell with a big heart so it’s no surprise to see Mollie King has given her time for a good cause.
The Saturdays singer has signed up as the face of The British Heart Foundation’s latest campaign for National Heart month.
The 25-year-old singer has shown off her sizzling shape in a series of red dresses for a photo shoot to launch the campaign.
The blonde bombshell said she is ‘thrilled’ to be supporting the campaign.
She said: ‘If there is one thing you must do to show your support rock up in red on the first of February I really hope everyone will be joining me in the fight against heart disease. Anything goes as long as it’s red.’
Mollie is asking fans to donate £2 to Rock Up In Red and join the fight against heart disease on 1 February 2013.

Yesterday our girls officially introduced theirselves to the US media with a press-conference for their new show ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ which premieres on E! in just 12 days!
Here’s a blogs take on the events and the press release for the forthcoming show:
The all-girl, five-member band is regular tabloid fodder overseas for their chart-topping hits, high-profile romances, and fashion and business smarts. E! cameras follow their infectious personalities and crazy schedules as they navigate Hollywood and the American music industry in the new reality series Chasing The Saturdays, airing Sundays beginning Jan. 20 on E!.
Their story began last summer, when The Saturdays — Mollie King (25), Frankie Sandford (23), Vanessa White (23), Una Healy (31) and Rochelle Humes (23) — headed to Los Angeles to work with Mercury Records and famed producer Rodney Jerkins (of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Spice Girls fame) on their debut U.S. album and promoting their new single “What About Us.”
Just a week after her highly publicized wedding to fellow musician and JLS member Marvin Humes, Rochelle Humes packed her bags and joined her BFFs on their three-month stay in Los Angeles. “We were excited to have someone document our trip because we only get the chance to try and crack America once,” Humes says.
The girls lived in an apartment block, where each girl had their own suite that connected to a communal area. “On the show you get to see all of that and our personal lives as well,” Humes shares. “There’s never an average day. We could be doing a photo shoot one day and the next day we’ve got the studio and then the next day we’ve got a show and then the next day we’re testing perfume because we are about to release a fragrance.”
Being famous, although not known in America, turned out to be somewhat of an awkward experience for the group.
“There are a lot of English paps [paparazzi] in America — they would know who we are, and they tend to photograph us because they know the pictures will sell back home. It’s a little awkward when someone will walk past and be like, ‘Who are these girls?’ It’s just really embarrassing. And they are like, ‘Who are you? Why are they taking pictures of you?’ And you would have to explain every time. Sometimes I would just pretend — ‘I’m not sure why. I’m from London; I don’t know either.’”
The Saturdays are hoping they took care of that issue when their series and their new single debut this month in America.
Also I forgot to mention yesterday the girls are set to perform at the Golden Globes After Party next weekend, they will be performing a 30min set for the party goers! I’ve added some pictures below of the girls out and about in LA yesterday.
Happy New Year again to TeamSats! I hope you all had a lovely holiday period, today is the day a lot of people might have gone back to school/college/work – I know I have! I’ve taken the Christmas period to have a little break from the site, and am now back, fully recharged and ready to roll! It’s going to be a busy few weeks – and months ahead – so I hope you are as ready as I am!
First things first, the girls flew out to the US last weekend, ready for (what seems) to be a good couple of months promo out there. ‘What About Us’ was released to US iTunes just before the christmas holiday and hopefully the song will be sent to US radio soon as the girls start hitting (some pretty impressive) promo, of which a lot of it will be available to see in the UK, plus of course we will do our upmost to get the videos on the site, performances and Interviews should be pretty accessible, we will have an update on ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ for those who are asking in the next few days so keep an eye on that!
Confirmed TV appearances for the girls in the US so far include:
January 9th – Chelsea Lately (E!) UK visitors note this show also shows on E! UK at Midnight (for the first showing), so depending on schedule the girls will be on the UK on 10th/11th January, will confirm ASAP. We expect to have this video on the site by January 10th.
January 11th – Fashion Police (E!) UK visitors, I expect this to be on E! UK the day after so probably Saturday 12th. Again if all goes to plan we should have the video on the site by January 12th.
January 14th – Jay Leno (NBC) – this is the first TV performance anywhere of the new single ‘What About Us’!! UK visitors sadly Jay Leno is no longer broadcasted in the UK, it used to be shown on MSNBC News Channel but I’m not sure if this is still broadcasted in the UK. We expect to have this video up on the site on January 15th in the morning.
Obviously ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ premieres on E! US on 20th January with the UK airing premiering in February. News on that availablity on the site is coming in the next few days.
I’ve added a few pictures of the girls below arriving at LA below, I’m sure HQ ones will appear in the gallery (along with other updates shortly 🙂 )
