Last Thursday night one of the hottest girl groups in the UK, The Saturdays, performed at the LG Arena to a crowd of adoring fans on their All Fired Up Tour.
In forumlive we had Lauren Wright, a local unsigned pop artist, entertaining the crowd before the show kicked off in the main arena. Lauren managed to convert some new fans with her blend of catchy pop songs including her debut single ‘Kiss Me’ which may forever be stuck in my head; not that I’m complaining! She also treated us to a great cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Haunted’. To find out more about Lauren Wright, you can check out her facebook page or listen to her cover of ‘Wherever You Will Go’ below.
Back to the main show now, The Saturdays kicked things off to a great start with their chart hit ‘Notorious’ which had everyone in the arena up on their feet dancing and singing. The pace rarely stopped and the girls all looked incredible in their matching skimpy outfits and killer heels. Una was the only exception to the rule, taking to wearing more reserved outfits and kitten heels. I was very impressed by her ability to dance her way through all of the songs, only leaving the stage once to take a break during an upbeat song with a rather raunchy routine.
A couple of covers were thrown into the mix including a mash up of ‘This Is Love’ and ‘Moves Like Jagger’ which was very well received by the audience who were all singing along. The girls ended the night with an encore including a lovely Christmassy number and two of their biggest hits: ‘My Heart Takes Over’ and ‘Higher’.
