Did Frankie and Dougie split up?

Celebrity couple Frankie Sandford, The Saturdays, and Dougie Poynter, McFly are rumoured to have split up. The couple have been referred to as the new ‘Posh and Becks’ and ‘perfect for each other’, but is it all over now?

Well, nobody is really sure if this is true or not. All we know is that they stopped following each other on Twitter. This shouldn’t mean anything, but they were following each other before, so it’s a bit strange.

Also, Dallas Austin (McFly’s producer red.) mentioned in a Ustream video he did with McFly that Dougie is a single man. At the time it was thought of as a joke. Dougie wasn’t there himself so even if he’d wanted to, he couldn’t have argued his statement. Band members Danny and Tom laughed at Dallas’ comment and Tom said, ‘Naughty Dallas.’

A few other clues have appeared on Twitter…
Frankie has also stopped following Tom, Danny and Harry, as well as Tom’s girlfriend Giovanna – someone she has previously seemed close to.
Frankie reportedly tweeted something to Callum Best along the lines of “I’m scared that we’re rushing it” (although this tweet has now been deleted, and so has the tweet by Callum that she was replying to!).
Frankie’s recent tweets have indicated that she is living with her mum at the moment.

It proves nothing of course, but it’s all a little odd. What do you think, are Dougie and Frankie still together and is it all a big hoax, or is their relationship over?

UPDATE, 1 March: Today we asked Dallas Austin (on Ustream) if Dougie was single, he replied with “Yes Dougie is single, he’s looking for a girlfriend, he’s lonely”. Dougie laughed and walked away. Dallas then added “He’s not really single guys… he has a boyfriend.”

Frankie Set to Star in Celeb Game Show

Amanda Holden and Chris Tarrant have been confirmed as the hosts of two-part ITV1 gameshow The Door.

EastEnders stars Dean Gaffney and Louisa Lytton, Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpline, Boyzone’s Keith Duffy, GMTV presenter Michael Underwood and Saturdays star Frankie Sandford will compete in the programme, which has been billed as the “ultimate celebrity endeavour contest”.

Each contestant will venture through ‘the door’ and undertake challenges, which force them to face their fears. The celebrities will “battle claustrophobic spaces, suffer shocks and have to cope with a relentless barrage of disorientating games” as they compete for charity.

“The Door is a celebrity’s worst nightmare! It’s going to make great viewing,” said Holden.

After the first show, three celebrities will enter the final, while the three losers will face a last ordeal. One of the losing three can earn a place in the second show during the final task.

The Door will air on ITV1 in late spring.

Frankie on Love, HABs and Death Threats

SATURDAYS babe Frankie Sandford has lots to smile about.
Her band is currently the biggest girl group in the charts and she’s just returned from a romantic break in Florida with her other half, Dougie, from McFly.

On top of that, she’s ranked “hottest” Saturday member by many fans.

Besotted Dougie had a crush on Frankie, 21, for seven years before he mustered up the courage to ask her out.

In an exclusive interview with Sugar magazine (on sale 24 Feb) Frankie describes how it all came about.

She says: “We were doing our first gig at G-A-Y in July 2008 and McFly were performing too.

“While we were rehearsing Dougie walked up on stage – we looked at each other and then looked away.

“I knew he fancied me ’cause I’d heard him say it in loads of interviews.

“Harry came over and gave me a kiss to say hello, then Dougie shook my hand! Really weird! He mumbled, ‘You alright?’

“And I was like, ‘Ye-ah.’It was so formal!

“Harry said: ‘Are you just gonna shake her hand?’ And then it was really, really awkward. Me and Dougie were like ‘Erghrg!'”

Dougie once described his partnership with Frankie as the Posh and Becks of Essex.

Frankie says: “I’m not sure we’ll ever be like them – we’re on a different level! We find it funny that people think of us as a celeb couple, ’cause we’re so sad and boring.

“We like to stay in and get a takeaway, or go to the cinema. Last night we were up until 1am cleaning the house, so we’re not exactly cool.”

So is Frankie a McFly WAG or is Dougie a Saturdays HAB?

“He’s a Saturdays HAB! But we call them ‘BADs’ – Boyfriends And Dogs. The first time I saw Dougie perform I actually didn’t like it. He was running around the stage and everyone was screaming.

“I was like, ‘What are they screaming at?’ It took me a while to get used to seeing him as Dougie from McFly – I just see him as my boyfriend.”

Does she mind the female attention he gets? She says: “I can see why they fancy him. I do get death threats on Twitter. I’ll say, ‘I’m on a plane now!’ and they’ll go, ‘I hope your plane crashes.'”

Will she eventually do a Cheryl Cole and go solo?

“You never know. I’ve met Cheryl and she really is so lovely and everything that she seems on TV. I’d like to sit down and talk to her because things have been completely mental for her. It’d be interesting to get advice.”

Would she like to be a judge on The X Factor?

“I’d love to – that would be awesome! I’d be terrible though because my face just says it all. I’d get the giggles too. I’d just want to let everyone through ’cause I know how it feels to get rejected.”

Frankie never had one-night stands

The Saturdays star Frankie Sandford – who is dating McFly bassist Dougie Poynter – says she has had sex with fewer than five people.

Frankie Sandford has never had a one-night stand..

The Saturdays singer – who has been dating McFly bassist Dougie Poynter for the past year – hasn’t had many sexual partners because she will only sleep with men she has fallen in love with.

When asked how many people she has slept with, she said: “It’s less than five! I’ve only been with people I’ve been in a relationship with.”

The 21-year-old beauty also claimed that boyfriend Dougie was better looking than her, despite recently topping Zoo magazine’s 100 Hottest Bodies poll.

She said: “I only look OK when I have make-up on, whereas he looks like that all the time!”

Frankie recently spoke about her first date with Dougie, admitting it was “awkward” because they had liked each other for so long.

She said: “I met him briefly at a show at G-A-Y, but we’d fancied each other from afar for about five years. When we met, he shook my hand and was really awkward.

“On our first date, the first thing he said was, ‘I’m really hungover and sometimes when I’m hungover I go into London and pass out, so I’m just warning you!’

“But we had a really good time – and we ended up being asked to leave the restaurant because they wanted to close. Everyone had packed up around us!”
