I’m Marit, 19 years old and studying for Teacher Assistant. I was born and live in Holland. I actually got to know the site owner before this site through another fansite I run with him – MattPCDWorld.co.uk – I then started to listen to some of The Saturdays’ music, watched some of their videos and decided I quite liked them! Since then I’ve been following them, and you understand as soon as Matt asked for volunteers I was the first to apply! I hope you’ll enjoy visiting this no nonsense fansite for The Saturdays that has been around, well, longer than they have!

The Saturdays’ New Direction

British girl band The Saturdays have chosen to go for a new direction with their music, as they don’t want to ”bore” their fans.

The Saturdays don’t want to “bore people” with their music.

The ‘Ego’ hitmakers admit their forthcoming new album ‘Headlines’ will be a slight departure from the music they are best known for, but hope it will win them some new fans.

Singer Una Healy told BANG Showbiz: “We don’t want to always do the same thing again and bore people.

“We want to grow from that. We do need to appeal to not just a certain type of fan but bring in new fans as well. Our loyal fans will always love ‘Ego’ and ‘Up’ and so we want something that won’t exclude them but get to a wider audience too.”

In addition to their work as singers, the band – made up of Una, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White and Mollie King – often get other offers, but Frankie says they want to focus on their music at the moment.

She said: “Hollywood or other projects isn’t something that we are like, ‘Oh we want to do that next year.’ If the opportunity arises I don’t think anyone would say no but we are concentrating on this.

“We never know what’s going to happen, you know? We’ve got so much more to do. A lot of stuff does come our way but we tend to say, ‘Quality, not quantity.’ ”

THE SATURDAYS’ PLAYBOY NUDE AMBITIONS

FELLAS around the world rejoice as you might be about to see a lot more of gorgeous girlband The Saturdays.

They’re already the sexiest babes on the block.

And now they admit they’d consider posing nude, if it was done properly.

The girls are known for appearing on the cover of lads mags in revealing black PVC bras and skimpy slashed underwear.

When we met up with them at the Heart Love Music Live event at London’s Studio Valbonne, we asked them if they’d pose naked for Playboy.

Sexpot Rochelle Wiseman, 21, who’s dating JLS hunk Marvin Humes, 25, cheekily admitted: “We always say: ‘Never say never.’ ”

Irish hottie Una Healy, 28, chipped in saying: “I’d would consider it if there was a way of sneakily covering your bits.”

But not usually shy Frankie Sandford, 21, shrieked: “Oh my God no! I’d never do it. Definitely not nude. Never.”

However, the petite brunette quickly changed her tune, saying: “I do think it can look nice if it’s done tastefully.”

Meanwhile Una revealed she was devastated when pictures emerged of her topless in a swimming pool in Ibiza recreating the iconic lift scene from Dirty Dancing with rugby boyfriend Ben Foden, 25.

Una told us: “I was so upset.”

The Saturdays Rochelle Wiseman slams critics over ‘fat’ jibes

The Saturdays Rochelle Wiseman has hit back at critics accusing her of being fat saying it is a ‘disgrace’ and she is getting ‘sick of it’.

Curvy Rochelle did a photo shoot for Look magazine earlier today but dressing to impress for the magazine obviously reminded her of the jibes and she decided to slam her critics saying it was a disgrace and it was no wonder people got complexes.

Taking to her Twitter account to vent her anger, the feisty singer wrote: ‘I’m really getting annoyed reading that people are calling me fat!’

‘I’m a size 10 not 100! I’m human and curvy get over it! It’s boring!’

‘I’m just starting to get sick of it!!! No wonder people get a complex!! I think it’s a disgrace!!’

She then added that she is a role model to many young girls and those that judge her shouldn’t be labelling her.

‘As a band we take pride in being role models to children and other young girls and I think that the best role model is someone who is comfortable in their own skin! And I am x’

‘Sorry for the fuss just had to get that off of my chest x’

The gorgeous singer is currently dating JLS’ Marvin Humes and last week it was reported that the loved-up pair are moving in together.

Mollie King Hopes Cheryl Cole Gets Better Soon

Mollie King hopes Cheryl Cole will “get better soon.”

The Saturdays singer – who herself was temporarily out-of-action recently due to cellulitis – says she can sympathise with the X Factor star, as she recovers from malaria.

“Cheryl must be feeling really down,” Mollie said. “It’s horrible for anyone to miss out on work but especially with her as she’s going through a real high point of her career right now.

“At least with me, I had the rest of The Saturdays to carry on as we have a new single and new album to promote,” King then added to the Daily Record. “With her, everything has to stop.

“I just want to tell her to get better soon and hang in there. All of The Saturdays wish her better and hope she can recover as soon as possible.”

The Saturdays Make a Case for Curls

the saturdays hairstyles

Just sitting here working on my straight vs texture piece, when this picture of the Saturdays backstage at the Midlands Music Festival appeared. I think it’s clear to see which side of the fence they’re on – they must have an army of stylists poised with curling tongs at all times!

It’s becoming increasingly apparent to me that even though the catwalk is having a love affair with straight, it’s going to take a world for the trend to catch on in the wider world…

Issy will add pictures of this event later 🙂

GIRL band The Saturdays are to get a Monkees-style show

ITV2 signed them up to go head-to-head with Jordan, who quit the channel for Living TV.

Each 60-minute show will follow Rochelle, Vanessa, Una, Mollie and Frankie and see them “burst into song” – like The Monkees did in the 1960s.

The documentary, called Just Can’t Get Enough after one of their hits, is set for a 9pm Thursday slot in the autumn.

ITV2 said: “We’ll be with them in their dressing rooms, at home and on the red carpets.

“And in each episode the girls will burst into song to perform their latest hits.”

US band The Monkees made two series between 1966 and 1968 and became famous for their Hey, Hey, We’re The Monkees theme tune.

Jordan – real name Katie Price – has signed a deal with Living TV thought to be worth 5million.

She will defect in November.
