I’m Marit, 19 years old and studying for Teacher Assistant. I was born and live in Holland. I actually got to know the site owner before this site through another fansite I run with him – MattPCDWorld.co.uk – I then started to listen to some of The Saturdays’ music, watched some of their videos and decided I quite liked them! Since then I’ve been following them, and you understand as soon as Matt asked for volunteers I was the first to apply! I hope you’ll enjoy visiting this no nonsense fansite for The Saturdays that has been around, well, longer than they have!

[Updated] The Saturdays: AOL Session

Some lucky winners got to go to The Sats’ AOL Session yesterday, and now thank you very much Kate Hammer who’s provided us with pictures for your viewing pleasure! Issy has added the pictures to the gallery (see below), but Kate was told to remove the videos from her YouTube account sadly 🙁

I’ve just added Kate’s pictures to the gallery, you can view them below. If you use these pictures on your site please credit Kate Hammer 🙂

The Saturdays lead Trafalgar Square in remembrance

They have the looks to stop the traffic — and tomorrow they will have the cause. Girl band The Saturdays will bring Trafalgar Square to a standstill at 11am on November 11 to commemorate the nation’s war dead.

For the first time, all traffic lights around the square will be switched to red at 10.58am, and members of the Armed Forces will hold up signs asking drivers to observe the two-minute silence.

Shortly before the silence, The Saturdays, who have sold two million records and clocked up eight Top 10 hits, will perform their song Here Standing. The event will culminate in the public being invited to scatter poppies in the Square’s fountains.

The band was chosen by the Royal British Legion to be the face of this year’s Poppy Appeal, which is focused on providing lifetime care for the “Afghan generation” of servicemen and women and their families. Britain has lost 343 troops in Afghanistan since entering the war there in 2001. Thousands more have suffered life-changing injuries.

Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White, Una Healy, Mollie King and Frankie Sandford, who make up The Saturdays, have already performed a private concert for the soldiers and families of 16 Air Assault Brigade at Colchester Garrison. The brigade, which includes Parachute Regiment battalions, deployed to Afghanistan last month.

The band launched this year’s appeal last month at Colchester, where Help for Heroes charity is building one of four personnel recovery centres with £25 million from the Legion.

Sandford said: “We are so proud to have played such a big role in this year’s appeal. We have the greatest respect for our Armed Forces and feel deeply they should be supported and remembered.”

Saturdays star Rochelle Wiseman chats to OK! about Marvin, X Factor 2010 and Nadine Coyle

Exclusive: The Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman opens up about her first Christmas with Marvin Humes and who she’s voting for on The X Factor 2010

WE can’t say we’re not jealous of The Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman – the girl has got it all!
As if being a fifth of The Saturdays isn’t enough, Rochelle Wiseman also gets to call JLS heartthrob Marvin Humes her boyfriend – and to top it all off, she’s absolutely stunning.

And as this week’s Facebook Friday prize is three pairs of tickets to see The Saturdays at the Kit Kat Senses Concert for a Cure in December, we thought we’d give Rochelle a quick call to find out about what else the girls are up to at the moment

She told us: “It’s been non-stop for the past few weeks actually…We have ten days off for Christmas and as soon as we get back from that we go straight into rehearsals and then we go on tour at the end of January.”

Phew, that’s an awful lot of work for five girls.

But Rochelle told us she’s looking forward to her time off with Marvin this Christmas, which will be the couple’s first Christmas together in their new house.

She said: “The whole family are coming for Christmas, Marvin and I are going to have it at our house this year so everyone is coming to us. It’s going to be really nice, I’m looking forward to it!”

And while we’re on the subject of Marvin, Rochelle says the pair are still ridiculously happy and aren’t letting all the excitement from the ‘outside’ get in the way of their romance.

She told us: “You kind of don’t think about it [being in the limelight]. We don’t know any different, ever since we met each other it’s just how it has been.

“We always make sure we take time to do stuff together, without everyone else there and everyone else gawping in. But it’s just normal for us.”

Ghosthunting With The Saturdays

The Saturdays have topped the charts but how will they fare when they delve into the dark abyss of the deep unknown in three truly horrifying UK locations.

The host of Ghosthunting With… Yvette Fielding, who has been at all the forefront of countless paranormal adventures, invites The Saturdays on a trip to hell and back in an attempt to transcend our mortal barrier and make contact with whoever or whatever lies on the other side.

The Saturdays band members, Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman accompany Yvette for the scariest night of their lives. The girls visit three equally terrifying locations, nestled within the Welsh mountains; the clock tower, the manor and the kitchen block. As if performing before millions of fans was not scary enough, The Saturdays are about to embark upon a night they will never forget!

The first location of the night is the kitchen block. The girls will visit a host of terrifying settings including the cellar, the kitchen and the haunted bedroom. In each of these areas there have been countless reports of strange sightings, the sounds of chatter coming from empty rooms, cooking smells coming from an empty kitchen, and reported ghostly sightings. What will happen when the pop starlets are wrenched from their glamorous life and plunged headfirst into the deep, dark world of the paranormal investigation?
The second ghostly hot spot is the eerie clock tower, which was constructed using beams taken from an ill fated ship. The tower is rumoured to be haunted by a restless spirit of a suicide victim and anyone who enters is confronted by his hostile presence. But will the girls be able to withstand the guaranteed shocks and frights when it all gets a bit personal?

The final destination of the evening is the manor. The girls will visit the foreboding first floor landing which has been noted as having the most paranormal activity in the building. Next up is the surgery room which was used by the Red Cross for injured soldiers during the first world war and finally the attic where the tormented spirit is said to sway back and forth in an old rocking chair. Strangely, it is said that female entertainers who would perform at the Manor for the former owner complained of being harassed by an evil presence.

Join ITV2 as one of the nation’s most loved girl bands embarks upon a ghost busting trip of a lifetime. Will The Saturdays manage to spend an entire night at their eerie locations and will they accept the spooky challenges Yvette brings their way?
