star Mollie King was admitted to hospital this week after an insect bite left her with a dangerously swollen foot and a nasty skin infection. The singer became concerned and consulted doctors on Monday, June 28 when the bite made the area around her toes turn bright red.

She was diagnosed with inflammatory skin disease cellulitis – and is now resting at home. In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “I have been bitten by a stupid horse fly and now I have a foot like the Nutty Professor’s! It’s massive! In A&E (the hospital’s accident and emergency unit) now! This is NOT fun!”

“I have something called cellulitis and have to be on crutches! It’s not much fun at all. Bed bed and more bed!”

The Saturdays Fire Manager!

The Saturdays pictureUK girl group The Saturdays have fired their manager Jayne Collins, despite working with her from the start of their career.

The Saturdays have fired their manager.

The five-piece girl group – which consists of singers Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White – have taken the decision to part ways with Jayne Collins, who has supported their career from the beginning.

The band are starting to promote their third album ‘Headlines’, which will be released later this summer, and feel under pressure for it to be a smash hit and think a new approach will help them achieve their goal.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “If the new album doesn’t perform well, the girls know they could be jobless. They bear Jayne no ill will but thought a new perspective might help them this time round.”

The group’s last LP ‘Wordshaker’ debuted in the UK charts at number nine before falling completely out of the top 40 by it’s third week – similarly, their first album ‘Chasing Lights’ also peaked in the top 10 at number nine.

The girls will release first single ‘Missing You’ from the new album on August 9 with the LP coming out on August 16.

Top girl band The Saturdays choose Ice-Watch to wear for their latest music video, Missing You

Birmingham, England. 29th June, 2010. Top girls band The Saturdays have chosen their favourite colour silicon Ice-Watch to wear whilst filming the video for their new release, Missing You, which had its premiere on June 26th, with its first TV play around 1st July.

The Saturdays, Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Vanessa White, Rochelle Wiseman, and Una Healy, have had massive chart success, with their debut album, Chasing Lights, producing four top 10 singles, with more top 10 hits coming from their second album Wordshaker.
