I’ve been running fan websites since around 1997, when I launched a Spice Girls website, a few years later I launched a website for the pop-group Steps, which in 1999 became Generation Steps later in the mid 00′s I launched PCDWorld and later The Saturdays Fansite. I’m presently a Network Administrator and a trustee for the UK charity the Dyspraxia Foundation.

For those who aren’t aware, Rami Yacob is a songwriter/producer who worked alongside Britney Spears in her early days, and is co-responsible for songs such as Baby One More Time, Oops! I Did It Again and Overprotected. Along with songs from the Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, and even  The Wanted.

Carl Falk (and Rami) recently produced the number one single from Nicole Scherzinger, Don’t Hold Your Breath.

The Saturdays are Notorious … maybe?

@TheSaturdays are seemingly becoming a little Notorious ….. or are they.

*RUMOUR*

BMI have recently updated their songs database which has thrown up this:

NOTORIOUS (Legal Title)
BMI Work #12586193

Songwriter/Composer

MC CUTCHEON STEVEN
WROLDSEN INA CHRISTINE CHRISTINE

As you can see the song title is Notorious, and it is written by Steve Mac and Ina Wroldsen, who according to a previous article are the writers/producers of the new Saturdays single … and in a previous flip video (around the 3mins 45secs mark) what do we hear …..

Pure speculation on our (and everyone else in the Saturdays community behalf) but maybe bits do add up …..
Not to forget the PopJustice Forums, where the initial investigation has seemingly come from 🙂

Site Birthday – what a day .. what a tweet!

What a day today has been thanks to @TheSaturdays and every single one of you. (Yes we do mean you!) This lunchtime we got a tweet from the group:

http://twitter.com/#!/TheSaturdays/status/55947088629989376

Totally unexpected, totally out of the blue. We are truly thankful to the group – of which we wouldn’t be here, and to every single one of you – our visitors – that make all this so so worth while. It’s been a hard 3 years, a lot of effort and a lot of work, but the love we get back from our visitors makes it all worth while. Thank you to The Saturdays, their record label, their management and again to every single one of you for everything over the last 3 years. Lets hope for another 3 years (at least!)

– The Saturdays Fansite Team aka. Matt, Marit, Claire & MJ
Xx

We’ve also added an RSS feed for our gallery, we are still tweaking it and everything, and will slowly integrate it into the site fully, for now you can subscribe to the gallery RSS feed at the following URL http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSatsCoUkGallery or subscribe directly from the gallery.

Happy Birthday to us … 3 today!

Whilst @TheSaturdays sun it up in LA (and obviously do a bit of work too) today marks our birthday. We are actually three years old today. This very website officially launched on 7th April 2008 – months before their official website thanks to our rather amazing S Club 8 community at the time.

I’m the sole member of the original team that opened the site way back in 2008, but the current team of Marit, Claire and MJ make the site what it is today, so I’m sure you will join me in thanking them for all their hard work!

We also extend our thanks and love out to The Saturdays community. Without you guys and girls coming back here to visit us, check out the media, news, pictures and saying hi to us on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube etc. we wouldn’t be here today.

We will also say thanks to the girls theirselves, I’m sure a few of them will read this, their management and their record label who have been kind and generous to us over the years – and long may that continue.

Thank you one and all, and lets hope for another successful 3 years or so! 🙂
