I’ve been running fan websites since around 1997, when I launched a Spice Girls website, a few years later I launched a website for the pop-group Steps, which in 1999 became Generation Steps later in the mid 00′s I launched PCDWorld and later The Saturdays Fansite. I’m presently a Network Administrator and a trustee for the UK charity the Dyspraxia Foundation.

Rochelle stuns at the NTAs and more!

Hi TeamSats! Hope all is well 🙂

As we all saw coming (with the removal of the mailers and flips) the start of 2015 hasn’t been the most exciting for the group. What the actual future holds for the group is anyone’s guess right now, answers to us @TheSatsCoUk if you know anything – we sure don’t!

Either way the girls continue prepping their own solo projects, Mollie recently completed her photoshoot for the upcoming Spring/Summer range for Oasis. Rochelle continues her own range for Very plus appeared at the NTAs last night, looking stunning in her custom dress (see below!), obviously Una is on The Voice of Ireland – and expecting a little boy in a matter of weeks! Plus obviously Frankie is expecting and Vanessa is also prepping something it seems.

I just hope that you all understand that I’m not going to post news for the sake of news, the lesser news updates you can keep up-to-date by following us on Twitter and Facebook.

Hopefully something will happen sooner rather than later, we are all crossing everything!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our wonderful visitors! We hope you had a great Christmas/New Year period and are ready for the exciting times that 2015 might throw at us!

I usually do an end-of-year sort of review for The Sats, and I still have it (unpublished right now), I might post it, I might not, as some people might see it as being negative, some might see it as being realistic, others might just read it and ignore. I’ll see how I feel in a few days.

But saying that I can’t do a 2015 post without what I expect about 2015. Like a lot of people we are all a bit taken back by the news that the traditional mailer and flip have been cancelled. I sit right on the fence about that, it’s been increasingly obvious that they’ve been struggling for content for these for a long time, so on that side I can see why they’ve been stopped, but obviously this is something that the group has always done since the start so I can appreciate the other side of the argument too.

As for 2015, for the first time in all my years running this site I’m at an impasse. The girls are heavily involved in their own projects right now. As we know Rochelle has seemingly moved all her solo ventures like TV presenting and her Very range to management away from the groups management. The other 4 are seemingly keeping their own interests alongside Fascination for now. Mollie has another Oasis range due out – I presume for Spring/Summer. Una obviously is on The Voice of Ireland, and expecting baby number two. Frankie has the strictly tour coming up, and has recently spoken to the press about how herself and Wayne would like another little buba at some point. Vanessa seems to be loving the holiday life!

Musically – who really knows. We know they keep making the right noises about new music coming soon, and recording and everything but as we know Christmas as come and gone, and we’ve not had any release. Like you all I wouldn’t mind some new music, but I honestly feel we might have a bit of a wait for it.

It’s our SEVENTH birthday in April too! Honestly can’t believe I’ve been doing this for so long!

As always you can contact us at @TheSatsCoUk on twitter, or via our facebook page to air us your own personal views.

Frankie: ‘We don’t want to leave it too long’

Frankie has been talking to OK Magazine about life after Strictly and has revealed that herself and Wayne are looking to increase the size of their family!

Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, she said: “Strictly was amazing but being reunited with Parker was better, in a completely different way.

“It was something I needed to do and now I’ve done it, I’m back to Mummy duty and that’s the best job!

“What got me through Strictly was being back with Wayne and Parker. I finally have some normality back.”

Frankie, 25, gave birth to son Parker in October 2013 – and she is already looking forward to expanding her brood with husband and former footballer Wayne, 34.

“Now Strictly is over, I’d love to have more children but we’re still enjoying Parker,” the ex-S Club 8 star explained.

“But I would like him to have a brother or sister. Wayne’s desperate to have another and I would like another because Parker isn’t a baby anymore.

“I see other little babies and they’re so little and cute so I would like to at some point and we don’t want to leave it too long, I wouldn’t want any more than three years between them.

“I’d love to have a girl but we’re convinced we’re going to have boys now I’ve had Parker, but I don’t care. I’m quite a tomboy so the only reason I’d want a girl is so I could buy girl stuff – their clothes are so much fun.”

Merry Christmas!

A huge Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates this festive time of the year from everywhere here at The Saturdays Fansite.

We hope you have a wonderful time with family over the festive period and if you get presents you get some nice ones!

If you eat too much (and drink too much!) and find yourself bored tomorrow, remember that Una’s Dream Ticket starts up again on RTE in Ireland and Top Of The Pops returns for its usual Christmas outing – sadly no Saturdays on it this year!

Our usual end-of-year review will appear on the site nearer the new year, but for now enjoy Christmas!

All the best!

– Matt
