GIRLS RECKONS PALS ACT CAN TAKE THEM RIGHT TO THE TOP


FLANKED by an entourage of tour managers and assistants, The Saturdays breeze into the building 30 minutes late.

There’s a whirlwind of activity around them as they arrive in the plush oak-panelled dressing room where A-Listed is to meet them.

A cluster of champagne buckets and intricately-organised platters loaded with all kinds of finger food cover the nearby table.

But that’s ignored as they sweep through the door, chirping loudly on their mobile phones and giggling among themselves.

Right now, time is of the essence for The Saturdays.

In fact, their schedule is so hectic that just getting them all to sit in the same corner of one room is a minor miracle of time-management.

The girls – who head to Glasgow’s SECC on Saturday to join Alexandra Burke, Alesha Dixon and JLS on the whopping 18-act bill at In:Demand Live – are on the cusp of VERY big things.

Bring up Girls Aloud with The Saturdays, and they’ll politely but firmly try to steer the conversation elsewhere.

But there’s no doubt that with Cheryl, Nadine, Sarah, Nicola and Kimberley busy doing other things, it’s The Saturdays who look set to take control of the charts and install themselves as Britain’s new No.1 girl group.
