Slick, sexy and incredibly fun – The Saturdays had the audience in the palm of their hand on Friday night as they played to thousands in High Lodge. This five-piece girl group may have been one member down as Molly recovered from what was said to be a bad insect bite, but this did not stop them entertaining the crowd of screaming fans who danced along to tracks including Up, Just Can’t Get Enough and One Shot.
The Wanted, a brand-new boy band, was the warm-up act for Thetford Forest gig and did they warm up the audience. Girls were screaming as the boys cheekily chatted their way through their set with a handful of energetic songs including their new single, All Time Low, which was enjoyed by the audience.
The Saturdays maintained amazing energy for their one-hour-and-a-half and set with slick dance routines, perfectly choreographed, the girls strutted about the stage, singing every note in tune and infecting the crowd with enthusiasm.
A well-received acoustic set included a cover of Justin Bieber’s chart-topper Baby, saw the audience dancing and singing along to, and their new track Higher, was also a popular number with fans.
As a fun-filled evening came to a close, the fans cheered “Ego, Ego, Ego,” and the girls replied: “Well, you get what you ask for!” And the energetic foursome bounded into the tune of the evening and their most-popular hit Ego.
An amazing performance full of fun and enthusiasm; these girls have the whole package to offer and infectious energy to go with it. It definitely left the audience feeling “higher and higher”.
